A fond farewell to Brian Davidson

After nine years of dedicated service, we bid a fond farewell to Brian Davidson as he retires from his role as a trustee at Children First.
Brian joined our Board in 2016, bringing with him a wealth of experience
from a distinguished career in finance. A qualified chartered accountant since 1980, Brian spent most of his professional life at PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers), including 22 years as a partner. Following his retirement in 2012, he has continued to give generously of his time and expertise, taking on a wide range of non-executive roles across the charity sector, government committees and with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
We were incredibly fortunate that Brian chose to lend his talents to Children First. From the outset, he was absolutely delighted to support our purpose to protect Scotland’s children. That enthusiasm never wavered. His passion for our mission, his meticulous attention to detail and his unwavering commitment have made a lasting impact on our work as a charity and the children and families we support.
Brian’s thoughtful guidance and financial acumen have helped steer Children First through times of change and challenge. He has been a steady hand, a wise voice and a deeply respected colleague. His legacy is one of integrity, compassion and excellence.
As Brian steps down, we want to express our heartfelt thanks. We will miss his insight, his humour, and above all, his belief in the power of putting children first.
Brian, from all your fellow trustees and everyone at Children First, thank you for everything. You’ve helped shape a stronger future for Scotland’s children and we are so grateful.
